4 Tips to Help Stay Happy & Calm

4 Tips to Help Stay Happy & Calm - Melissa Allen Mood Essentials
A few days ago, I was cleaning up our garage and got frustrated with pandemic situation that we are all dealing with.
I kicked a box across the garage, letting out a loud word (that I won't mention).  I later realised the frustration I had during this Stay at Home lockdown that a lot of us are enduring and decided to reset on the positives instead.
If you too are wanting to reset and focus on the positives of happier and calmer days, below are 4 tips below to help:

> When you focus on the good, the good gets better: When you focus on the good, the good gets better have you ever noticed that?  You may be surprised at how much better things get...
There are ways you can focus on the good, one way is to send a text message to friends thanking them for the part they play in my life. Saying thank you is underrated energy booster for everyone (you and the recipient) but again instantly makes you feel a sense of positive connection.

> Understand your circle of control: The events of 2020 and 2021 may have left you feeling out of control of your own life.  Living with uncertainty is tough it can overpower thoughts and leave little room for productivity.
Understanding your circle of control can help manage your thoughts during these uncertain times.
There's what inside your circle of control and there's what's outside of it.  The aspect of your life inside your circle are all of the things you can do something about.  Your actions, decisions, how you spend your time and the words you choose are all inside your circle of control.
> Monitor your media intake: You could watch 24-hour news channels, listen to warnings on the radio, or visit countless websites and be bombarded with the angst of the moment.  A suggestion instead, choose a single news source and decide how much limited time you’ll spend with it each day.
